A cupcake Saturday!

Hellohello!
It's weekend, and the heavy week has been done! It was good, concerts were good and now some unwinding is in order!
I had a cupcake-date with my sister and her son in guess where?! The Brooklyn Café! Sweet! We had amazing hot peppermint chocolate, smoothie-in-a-jar, coffee and cupcakes! I don't know what's with the American recipes but they were sooo good!! Every Saturday is a Cupcake Saturday in the café, and I'm thinking I should attend more often..!

My sister came back from Japan a few days ago and she brought me some facial masks again! Have to make myself shine! Experiments are on the way so stay tuned! Have a fabulous evening!

Midweek Blues

Today I've been feeling a little blue. Sometimes it just happens for no particular reason. Or well, work's been quite heavy this week but that's ok. Otherwise it's been a beautiful day today with such bright sunshine! I tried to catch some rays after work, and I hope it has some effect on me! I can't remember the day we saw the sun the last time! It was so beautiful, and there's a promise of the spring to come already!
Oh, how I'm waiting for the spring! Despite the heaviness of the seasons I do love them. There's a very unique feel to each one, and after a long winter you really appreciate the warm, sweet summer, the sun that never goes down, the lightness that takes over and makes us all smile! But it's the changes between these two that can make you feel a little confused every now and then.

I decided to make myself feel good and came to have dinner to one of my favourite places: Café Balzac. My sweet husband is at work and he suggested I'd go and enjoy this evening! And this place just does it to me every time! The atmosphere, the music, the food, everything! As I once wrote, it takes me to Paris, instantly! And this time it'll be even more real, since I'm going to be in the City of Lights in just four weeks! I'll concentrate on that!

Start of a new week!

It's a new week ahead of us! How's your Monday been? I've been busy with work the whole day actually, and just came home from a killer work out class! Oh my poor muscles! I think a good night's sleep is guaranteed tonight!

Birthdayparty!

Today was my beautiful Goddaughter no.3's 4th birthday! She's so, so cute, my dear friend's second child, and I'm so happy to have been close to her all these years! She's a beauty, such a sweet little girl! And guess what I got her?!
A pair of golden shoes with heels! Heels suitable for little girls, that is. Oh, they were amazing! All the things that are available for today's children, oh my! I would have gone crazy if there were shoes like that when I was growing up!
There was a lot of good food, cake, butterfly-muffins, tea, treasure hunting, shadowplay, and my sweet, sweet friends!
I'm so happy about us all, we make a good team and I love it! And the next generation is on its way, brilliant!

A Busy Saturday!

Today has been filled with action already! I have prepared myself for work next week, gone to exercise class, taken husband to work and done some good grocery shopping!
I love Saturdays that begin early. It's so nice to walk in town and feel the weekend. People are different, more relaxed. Café's are full, brunches and lunches are being served, shopping is being made, it's a good fuss everywhere!
I went to Kluuvi, to the local and organic food market Eat&Joy downstairs. It's a wonderful place not only to shop but to look around as well! They have a café and a lunch corner called Armas where they serve food from local suppliers. I had a really good salad for lunch there, yummy!
Unfortunately they are struggling a little at the moment. It's a good location right in the center in Aleksi, but since people don't live in that area, it's not anyone's local food shop. Like I did now, I went there on purpose, had something special in mind and wanted to go there precisely, and also wanted to sit down for a moment in that cute little café. With no hurry. In the middle of our daily routines that might be out of question. But it's a wonderful place and I really hope they will survive! Pay a visit, go get yourselves a good mood, that's what it does to me!

Valentine's Day & New Shoes!

I promised to show you the shoes from Yesterday...here they are!
Basic black heels with that special Ms. Parikka twist and her signature heart-theme with a hidden platform, which makes them not only look good but feel good as well! They are so comfortable and good to wear, I'm very happy about them since I've needed new black shoes for a while now! Very happy!!
This is my third pair altogether, I got my very firsts from my husband a few years ago for Christmas! They are seriously cool, for very special occasions! Oh my sweet darling husband!

Minna Parikka is one of our most talented up-and-coming designers. I love her colourful and fun style with traces of vintage and pin-up. I wish her all the best, and will be cheering for her! Check her pages here, beautiful!

A Day-Off!

If possible, there's no sweeter thing than to allow yourself a day-off in the middle of the week! I started early, really early, I was in the swimming pool at 7.55, swam a kilometer and enjoyed the sauna! Such a heavenly start for the day! Sweet husband was still asleep when I came back, so I made a good cup of coffee for him!
We left together, I walked to the center to get us tickets to a movie tomorrow night! We're going to see The Master. We both are huge fans of Philip Seymour Hoffman, and it's supposed to be a good film. A movie night coming up, yay!

I did some shopping, had sushi for lunch in the sweet Sushi Bar in the corner of Annankatu and Uudenmaankatu, and still continued my way to Korkeavuorenkatu and Lungi, where I bumped into an old friend!

Matchy matchy! My See by Chloé-bag and the Melissa's make a perfect match!

Can you guess which shoe shop I'm in?? This is their brand new boutique in Aleksi, they gave up the beautiful space in Bulevardi and moved here! Very nice!

After lunch-walk in Punavuori! Always keep your eyes open and you'll spot pretty things!

And yes! The best shoe shop in town!! I'll show you the inside of this bag later, bye for now dears!
