Flea markets & apples!

Hello there!

Autumn has really started, it's the first day of September, and work is on, full speed! There's always a little transition from the holiday mood to work mood but I'm getting there...yes I am!

Also my blog posts seem to be fewer and fewer but I'm still here, that's for sure!
Hope you're all doing fine, I'm hoping for some beautiful, sunny, and crisp days for the beginning of the new season so that we'll have the energy to work hard!

Last weekend was so nice. The rain finally stopped for a while and the sun came out!
I participated in Siivouspäivä with a sweet friend, we spent the whole day in Karhupuisto selling stuff, chatting, and eating a delicious apple pie she'd made!
It was a good sale too, I got more room in my closet, and all the sweet buyers got something new to fill theirs with!
Recycling is such a good and clever way to renew yourself, your home, your everything!

We picked our spot in front of beautiful flowers!

I was wearing my new jacket, a pale green easy-to-throw-on coat! I love it!

Yesterday we drove to the summer cottage, such a beautiful visit which made us a little sad for not having enough time to enjoy the place this summer.
But it'll always be there, perhaps we'll make a proper weekend visit during this Autumn. It would be so nice!

We (or sweet husband really!) planted an apple tree in the yard, and we're hoping to get big, sweet apples one day!

On our way back we stopped by at my uncle's place, also the childhood home of my father, to get apples from slightly older apple trees!
These trees are big and impressive, and in the spring the whole yard turns into a secret garden when the trees blossom! And when the Autumn comes, they provide us all so much delicious treats it's almost unbelievable!

See you soon lovelies, let's have a good week!

Yard sales!

Last weekend myself, my Mother and my handsome nephew went to the traditional Puu-Vallila yard sales.
I've shared this event with you before, it's such a nice happening!
All the picturesque gardens turn into flea markets, there's things for kids to do, and you can buy soup, sausages, coffee and cakes too!

It was a beautiful day with sunshine, we wandered around for a good while!

Being very street cred with my sister's kid, right?!
I'm wearing my supercomfy overalls which I looove!
Got it from Asos las year, it's velvet, tie-dyed, and so easy to wear!

I took so many pictures, it's so beautiful there, so much details and fun things to shoot!
The last pic is of me through the little fella's eyes:

Such a fun day it was!!

Flea Market & lunch at home!

I'm enjoying some free days at home! Cleaned everything up and got some fresh flowers Yesterday, heavenly! There's definitely some good Feng Shui going on when everything is on the right place! Clean up your home and you clean up your head as well!

I had a very spontanious morning today: I talked with my sister on the phone, and an hour later we were in the car with our Mother, on our way to Kaivarin Kanuuna! This is the ultimate flea Market of Southern Helsinki! Really good stuff, you can imagine the wardrobes of the ladies of Kaivopuisto, it's good! My sister found a jacket and a scarf that were screaming her name, plus shoes from Minna Parikka! And now I mean literally!
Miss Parikka herself was unloading huge bags filled with shoes, dresses and bags up for sale! She's gorgeous! We talked for a while, I was wearing my orange shoes from her spring/summer 2012 line, which she of course spotted immediately! It was so funny! We shared a laugh and I thanked her for being an inspiration and we wished each other well!
But really, she had loads of used shoes, all size 39, so hurry up, I'm guessing they won't be there for long!

Here's the address: Kaivarin Kanuuna, Merikatu 3

Now I'm about to leave for an appointment at hairdresser's, wohoo!
It's about time!
See you later!

A Tricolore-salad for lunch! Tomatoes, mozzarella and avocados, plus some Spanish strawberries which I couldn't resist! Yummy!

Since I thought everything was so pretty over here after the clean-up, I took a few snapshots!

And here are my orange devils!
Hooray for spring, there's no turning back now!!
