Chapter two!

Ok, let's continue!
I didn't have time to finish this before the concert, which was amazing, by the way!
Oh, the audience was so warm and there was lots of it!
Beautiful Teatro Colón, just beautiful!
Like La Scala in Milan but a lot bigger.
Now I'm back at the hotel, drawing myself a nice bath. I'm in heaven anywhere where there's a bath tub!

I'm feeling good about this evening. It's a double exitement, and sadly not all positive, when you know how tired you are. But just get in there and do your best and it pays off. People were so warm, listened and cheered, and made us feel welcomed. Feels good to have another evening there tomorrow!

Now back to the pictures!
I'm so overwhelmed by all this!!

We also saw a beautiful cathedral and Casa Rosada, the presidential palace, which has the famous balcony where Evita greeted people. She's still very big here, practically a saint, it's a fascinating story altogether.

Casa Rosada

Afterwards we were served a lunch in a very traditional Argentinian restaurant. And may I just say being a veggie in Argentina is quite difficult... It's all about beef, truly. Others were getting sausages and empanadas as apetizers and a HUGE steak for a main, and on my plate there was a green salad and an omelet!
I was ok with it but we were laughing how the heck could anyone finish their steaks! A true meat eater's paradise! I wish my husband was here!!

Lots of malbec everywhere you go!

Half of it is already gone!

After lunch we took the metro to Palermo Soho, the cutest area with shops from young, up-and-coming designers, home decoration, beautiful cafés and bars!
It was dreamy!! Such a pretty neighbourhood! And I bought a poncho! It's so pretty!

They say that Buenos Aires is the Paris of the Latin America and that's easy to see. Houses, buildings, the whole atmosphere has developed during the long history with the Europeans, there are lots of people from all around the world, this is a true melting pot.
It makes you feel so tiny, but everybody has their own story, the story of their family, and people live together and adapt each other's habits and traditions. It's amazing!

Hola Buenos Aires!!

Buenas tardes, my friends!
Here I am, safe and sound but quite tired, to be honest! Jet lag is heavy but we've had time to recover.
Tonight is our first concert, we'll experience the beautiful and prestige Teatro Colón for two nights in a row! Exiting and wonderful!

The traveling day took almost 24 hours from door to door but a beautiful hotel room was waiting here, and once I woke up it was a warm and sunny spring day outside! Actually I could sleep only for about four hours, my rhythm was all messed up, but a free day with a sightseeing ride was ok to handle!
Our agents here organised the sightseeing, and it was so good! We got a good idea of where we've come, saw and heard about history, beauty and the way of life of the porteños, the inhabitants of this passionate city.

I'll start the slide show, pictures will do the talking!

My morning started with a good work out at the gym in the 23rd floor with a view over the city...

First stop was the beautiful and amazing cemetery of La Recoleta.
It is a little town of its' own with narrow streets and the graves being little houses with altars, flowers and the caskets inside. It was a beautiful place!

The biggest attraction is the grave of Evita and her family.
It felt amazing to see all that.

Next we went to La Boca, the heart of Tango... Oh!

It was amazing to see all those colours, hear the sweet sound of a bandoneon and walk down the little streets!

Bon Voyage!

I really should be sleeping already!
As usual my packing took a little too long...

Just a quick bye-bye, next time I'll write to you from Buenos Aires! Exiting!
Have it good until then!

Beautiful colours!

We're still here!
It's been so lovely, so quiet and peaceful, and I can't tell you how happy it's made me feel!
We've slept well and warm, eaten good and walked around hand in hand watching the beautiful colours of Autumn!
I'll keep all this in my heart when next week I'll enter the cities with 20 million people in them... The idea seems so far away. Oh dear!

Here's what we saw!

My brand new rubber boots! They're super warm and comfy!

Survivors!

Our neighbour's dog always comes to say hello!

My love, my dream, my everything!!

At the same time it's sad to let the summer go, but Autumn is so beautiful, making me grateful of the past season.

Treasure! I took it with me and cleaned it: no pearl inside but a treasure it is anyway!

Afternoon in the sun!

Happy Saturday morning!

We drove to the summer cottage Yesterday evening!
Oh, it was magical! The darkness came already around eight o'clock, and I must tell you it was REALLY dark!
Since there's no electricity over here we lit up the candles, the lanterns, the fireplace, the sauna, unpacked our things and sat down to the porch to listen to the silence. Zillions of stars were on display in the clear sky. It was magical.
So beautiful.

But before we left the city, I had some errands to run plus a late lunch date with a sweet friend!
The sun was shining so sweet, making the colours bright and giving me a carefree mind!

The face is a little sour but the hair sure is shining!! Have you gotten your Moroccan Oil shampoos already??!!

The stairway at the end of Oksasenkatu is one of my favourite spots: I love the smell!
I think our sweet town of Helsinki, or any place meaningfull in the world, isn't only about the surroundings or images, it's also about smells and sounds, and here's one of my favourite smells: to me it's kind of a smell of a basement or something that's underground. Someone might just call it the smell of damp, but I love it! I always slow down when I climb these steps!

The lunch date took place at the cozy and super delicious Cholo in Lönnrotinkatu!
Really good, genuine Mexican food in the form of a naked veggie burrito with a bottle of Corona made us feel very satisfied!
Good food in the sweetest company is one if the meanings if life, right?!

Morning Walk!

Today we woke up to a beautiful sunshine and a clear sky!
I love the Autumn sky, it's so light and pale blue, makes the sun even brighter!
We had a lazy and easy morning, no
hurry anywhere, work isn't until later today, which meant lots of tea and a walk outside!
It was really beautiful! I wish all mornings would start like this!

Have a good day, sweet everyone!

Travel Fever!

My mind has been preoccupied with the fact that next week I'm going to be in a plane taking me to South America!
We'll tour for two weeks, have several concerts, and on the side get some hints what spring is like over there!
I've never visited that part of the world, and I'm exited to see something completely different, once again!

I went to the library for some information:

I also made a special purchase for the trip!

Jumppatossut!
And they're pink!!
I thought not to drag gym shoes with me, so these will work out beautifully! Literally!
Our hotels provide really nice spas and gyms, and I'll be there with these beauties!

Last weekend was nice.
We had a spontanious get-together with the girls on Saturday night!
We sat in Lungi, Korkeavuorenkatu, and enjoyed ourselves! Oh, I'd missed us already!
Not everyone was able to come, but in our hearts we're always together!
Always!!

I want these shoes!!!
